Tania Cañas is an artist researcher based in unceded Kulin Nation Territory.
Tania lectures in Art and Community Practice at the VCA, University of Melbourne, is a coordinator at Cohealth Arts Generator and a Theatre of the Oppressed practitioner. She currently sits on the editorial board at the International Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed Academic Journal/ PTO Inc.
Tania’s research examines the relationship between ‘art making’ and ‘community making’ in the context of cultural value across themes of social justice and community based methodologies.
