Dr Sarah Pollock (BA Hons; Grad Dip Ed, M Bus, PhD) has worked at the executive level in the social care and community-managed mental health sectors since 2005. Prior to that, she held various leadership roles in the vocational and higher education sectors, where her work focused on curriculum development and strategy. She combines strengths in applied research, policy analysis and strategy development, and has specific expertise in socially inclusive approaches to research and service development. Her PhD studies focused on enhancing service user autonomy through inclusive approaches to service development in diverse social care settings. Sarah leads an integrated research, evaluation and policy advocacy program at Mind Australia, a leading national provider of community-managed mental health services. Central to this program of work are: understanding Mind’s service delivery outcomes; choice and voice in service delivery and development; enhancing the rights of people who do unpaid care work; and, the intersections between housing/homelessness and mental health.
