Associate Professor Anne M. Harris is a Vice Chancellor’s Principal Research Fellow at RMIT University (Australia), an Australian Research Council Future Fellow (2017–2021), an Honorary Research Fellow at University of Nottingham (UK), and an Adjunct Professor at Monash University (Australia). She is the creator and book series editor of Palgrave Macmillan’s Creativity, Education and the Arts, the ABER co-editor of the Journal of Curriculum and Pedagogy, and director of Creative Agency, a community of artists and scholars for social change.

Anne’s areas of research are gender, creativity, diversity, performance and emerging digital ethnographies. A native New Yorker who has worked professionally as a playwright, teaching artist and journalist in the USA and Australia, Anne has authored or co-authored over 60 articles and 13 books on gender and sexuality, creativity, arts, and non-dominant culture formations.

Her creative practice to inform social change through educational theory, activism, and creative education has resulted in international uptake of her work and contributed to the growing demand for inventive approaches to education, research and community/industry partnerships.
