Dr Anna Thomas has almost two decades of experience conducting research in the area of addictions, the majority in relation to gambling. She also has a particular interest in understanding how to translate research to achieve real-world impact. In her own research this means using research to inform the development of gambling policy and practice to reduce and prevent harm.
Dr Thomas has conducted research examining and evaluating gambling harm reduction interventions, exploring the influence of wagering marketing on betting, and understanding psycho-social and environmental factors influencing pathways into gambling problems.
