Health in the 21st century is increasingly being reshaped by developments in neurosciences, health technologies, digital transformations, shifting demographics including ageing populations, questions of sustainable development, and concerns around healthy and secure food systems and lifestyles. With the increase of digital technologies in everyday life, interdisciplinary realms such as digital health provide many opportunities and challenges for the future of society.
HASH is an interdisciplinary network which brings together health, arts, social sciences, humanities, design, and science and technology. It aims to ignite creative connections and collaborations among members. To that end, HASH will draw on various contributions from a wide range of academic researchers, health practitioners, health service users and policymakers.
HASH provides a space for people engaged in interdisciplinary research to share ideas, present their work and discuss pressing topics of research methods and theory, impact and engagement. In order to set a transformative agenda for health research in the 21st century, HASH will foster an open dialogue aimed at developing innovative approaches to contemporary health concerns and advancing inquiry in interdisciplinary health research.
Through a participatory approach, HASH will explore how different kinds of evidence and modes of inquiry might promote effective, grounded research on the health of individuals and communities. A key aim is to foster the development of interdisciplinary groups that critically engage with contemporary questions of health, society, institutions and technology.
